MarsDrive's collaboration with the Moon Society is well established and looking to expand in the future. Our position with regards to the issue of should we go to the Moon before Mars is clear- As part of a developing space economy the Moon will serve an important role in establishing bases and analogues for preparation to Mars. We also believe that going to Moon before Mars is a result of a chronological priority scale which until now has been the standard for space agendas. With low cost space access achieved through such projects as space solar power or orbital fuel depots and the like we believe that both the Moon and Mars will become open for exploration and settlement in the same time frame.
In short, with cheap access to space achieved, both the Moon and Mars, side by side can be settled. Our position is not one before another or first and secoind, but for both to be reached as soon as it is possible and affordable. This is why we will collaborate with the Moon Society wherever our directions align.
